Your Role: TIC is comprised of three unique operating groups, a feed ingredient manufacturing firm (www.iicag.com), a value-added food ingredient system manufacturer and food ingredient trading/distribution firm company (www.ifpc.com), and a full-service sustainability partner to major food companies manufacturers (www.gfsolutions.com). Critical analysis and measure of our business activities plays an essential role in the growth, competitiveness and profitability of each firm. 

The Senior Business Systems Analyst role is designed to embrace the requirements for business insight and technology that drives decision making, growth, competitiveness and profitability of our businesses. This role will work closely with the GFS, IIC and Purchasing Center of Excellence (PCOE) commercial teams. The role also regularly interacts with the purchasing team, Information Systems group as well as our third-party technology providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the technology needs of the organization and determine which commercial or operational activities require technical support.
  • Development & Implementation, ongoing maintenance for Green Field Solutions (GFS) Customer Sustainability Portal and Delivery Optimization Tool.
  • Provide technical direction and support to project teams in areas of problem solving, design, development, system and functional testing and implementation of systems.
  • Knowledge of building data relationships and structuring data in a comprehensible format.
  • Development of Systems & Processes to automate GFS purchasing operations and reporting activity this includes assisting in excel or PowerBI tool for financial reporting such as GFS P&L.
  • Develop understanding of businesses to develop custom requested reports associated with inventory, financial analysis, material costs etc.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance with GFS 3rd Party Vendors to report Data for shipment optimization.
  • Development /maintenance of Systems & Process to report International Companies market Risk Positions.
  • Understand financials enough to build or maintain settlement, reconciliation tools and budgeting tools.
  • Create & Provide ad hoc analysis tools as needed in collaboration with VP of Purchasing.
  • Develop & Support use of Supply Chain Analysis Tools as required.
  • Assist with integrating customer data and reporting of any new GFS customers.
  • Automation of vendor and third-party settlement practices.
  • Automation of vendor and third-party invoices.
  • Track cash corn prices and other relevant commodities for input into systems.
  • Work as a member of a team to provide meaningful business intelligence to support the planning, decision making and reporting of management and other business users
  • Manage 3rd party technology partnerships, budgeting and performance, as needed and appropriate
  • Demonstrate ability to balance priorities of simultaneous projects
  • Provide effective communication on project status, risks, defects with manager and stakeholders
  • This position reports to the Purchasing Process Manager and works as a liaison with our Information Systems (IS) Department

What We're Looking For:

  • Possess familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), PowerBI, ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to develop data queries
  • Project Management capabilities

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, Finance or other related fields
  • Seven plus years of working experience in a business environment

Travel:

  • Limited. Plant site visits are always an option to learn more about the operations.
