Environmental stewardship has been at the core of what we do since 1974. Upcycling ingredients and making better use of precious resources is our business. IIC PhD animal nutritionists and manufacturing experts give our food manufacturing partners co-products a higher value. Through science and processing technology we bring valuable nutrients back into the animal food systems.
IIC is creating new, healthy animal food ingredients that increase value for up-cycled ingredients. As a result, we are making better use of precious resources while creating value for our vendor and customer partners. Our processes help partners be more efficient, environmentally friendly, and successfully achieve their sustainability and financial goals.
Each year, IIC repurposes approximately 550 million pounds of food co-products into specialty ingredients for animal feed and pet food, keeping nearly 150,000 tons of Greenhouse Gases out of the atmosphere. This has the equivalent environmental benefit of:
